We are in this together and embrace that times have changed. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our staff and patients. Therefore, we are pleased to share the additional safety measures we have been taking to ensure that every visit to our office is as safe as possible.
Our goal is to add peace of mind to the comfort and clinical excellence you have come to expect from our team. Of course, this is an ongoing commitment that will evolve with our environment. As always, we welcome the opportunity to answer any of your questions and to address all concerns.
Please note that these steps are incremental to our normal procedures which meet or exceed all CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines for dental practices.
Advanced Training
Each member of our team has completed additional awareness and prevention programs to enhance their knowledge and preparedness.
Leadership
Each day, a team member will be designated to guide our Commitment to Safety. This includes greeting patients, answering questions, ensuring social distancing, and overall monitoring.
Daily Health Checks (Orris Dental Team)
No contact temperature checks and a quick set of questions will ensure our team is ready, willing, and able to provide safe dental care.
Air Exchange/Filtration
Our air has never been cleaner. We have an optimal air exchange rate throughout our office.
Installed Clear Barriers
Hard plastic guards have been placed at the front desk to block airborne particles.
Virtual Waiting Room
You can now check-in from your car. As a result, you can minimize contact with others, bypass the reception area, and go directly to your treatment room.
Pre-Screening of Every Patient
A quick health questionnaire and a no-touch temperature check will be completed when you arrive at our office.
Hospital-Grade Hand Sanitizing Station
Every patient will be asked to not wear gloves, but to thoroughly disinfect their hands before entering our practice.
Anti-Microbial Rinse
In addition to the recommended brushing/flossing prior to your arrival, we will provide you with a swig of Peroxyl to swish in your mouth 2x for 30 seconds each before we begin your appointment.
Oral Evacuation
Whenever possible, we use a highly efficient evacuation system (intraoral and extraoral) to minimize aerosol contamination.
Cleaning After Every Appointment
As always, we super clean as we thoroughly wipe, sanitize, and disinfect all instruments, equipment, and surfaces in each operatory after every patient.
Protective Coats and hats
Our team will be changing outerwear to minimize the spread or absorption of airborne particles.
N95 & ASTM Level 3 Masks
The beautiful smiles of our clinical team will be always protected behind masks. Do not worry, we are smiling behind our masks!
Face Shields
Sometimes masks are not enough. Our clinical team will also protect you and themselves by using face shields.
Change Work Clothes at Work
As always, we change into and out of our newly cleaned scrubs at the office, daily.
No Handshakes or Hugs
We truly do love our patients! However, we will save our hearty welcomes and goodbyes for a later date when things have returned “back to normal”.
No Magazines/Activities
This may make our reception room a little less exciting, but it makes it much safer.
Personal Hygiene Standards
Along with short hair or pulling hair back, this means no long fingernails, no jewelry, and no watches for any team member while in the office.
