Removable Partial Dentures

A removable partial denture is designed to replace one or more missing teeth. Partial dentures are created out of a metal and acrylic composition or completely out of acrylic. Metal partials are generally preferred as they are structurally superior. They are thinner and more hygienic than an acrylic partial. Dr. Maddahi will consult with you to determine the appropriate partial for your situation.

Removable Complete Dentures

Complete dentures have replacement teeth fitted into an acrylic base. The base is made to closely match the color of your gum. Complete dentures placed in your mouth after all the teeth are taken out and tissues have healed. Healing may take several months.

Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures may be the best solution when complete extractions of your remaining teeth are unavoidable. An immediate denture will allow you to avoid the embarrassment of living without teeth. We will begin the preparation for this procedure before your teeth are extracted. You don’t have to go without teeth during the healing time after your teeth are removed. Healing can take several months. During this period your immediate dentures may need to be adjusted or relined several times. Sometimes a new denture needs to be made once the healing is complete.
